Bushings

Checking the spindle in the bushings after cleaning out the hub. This is with NO grease at all, so everything should be great once I pack it full.

Maddy's Merry-Go-Round

Grandpa Campbell helped us get the M.G.R. home from the junkyard yesterday. Today, we cut the handles off and turned it over to bang the dents out. After washing all of the dirt out of the hub, we found the bronze bearings are still in place. The spindle turns freely, even before adding grease. The 6 remaining handles will be reinstalled at 60 degree intervals.

It will be coming home sometime this week hopefully. Two of the handles are damaged, but we will just relocate the remaining handles at even intervals.
